The Silly Season

There are nuts to the right of me and there are nuts to the left of me

Election campaign is somtimes called the Silly Season, and this year is no different.   Accusations of infidelity , crime, and all sorts of illegal activity are a norm.  They usually come form the fringes of both parties and other various fringe groups.

We have Harry Reid hearing from someone in the grapevine that Mitt Romney did not pay his taxes for 10 years, without a shred of evidence.  But hey, it is campaign season and anything to stick mud on the other side is ok.

Next we have a Super Pac from the Obama side saying Romney caused a steelworkers wife to get cancer and die.  Even though Mitt was not the head of Bain when the company closed down and the wife also had her own insurance from her work.   But hey it is campaign season and anything to win.

ON the right side of the aisle we have the Ron Paul acolytes still thinking Ron Paul can win the nomination, along with some Newt Gingrich supporters.   OY

And the Birthers are still out there spreading the insanity that Obama was born in Kenya or Mars or somewhere else and has up to 5oo Social Security accounts somewhere.

No the new one out there is that Obama is Gay or a Bisexual.   OY.

The lunacy never ends.
