Belle and Bobbie

In some good news for once. Belle a local bobcat that was hit by a car and rescued by a good Samaritan was let loose in the wild with her baby.

On October 9, 2012, Belle, a bobcat struck by a car earlier this year, and her son Bobbie, who was born while Belle was recuperating at TreeHouse Wildlife Center, were released back into the wild. Belle was slow and cautious in leaving her crate, taking the time to check out her surroundings thoroughly before trotting off into the woods. Bobbie, who has never before lived in the wild, was initially reluctant to leave the perceived safety of his crate, but after the top was removed he took off like a shot after his mother.
