It has been a Ruff Day

Well today has been a ruff day.  All this is sinking in and I am not bitter.  I am upset and completely miscalculated the enthusiasm that the Democrats had.   Politics is a weird animal and well I do not ever think will be tamed.

All the hand wringing and analysis will be coming.  Finger pointing and all the talk of who is the “True Conservative” or who is not will be flown around.    The fact is there was many things that could have been done different, a sound bite here, a sound bite there and going after Obama on this or that.   But in reality we lost it.   Romney’s campaign was well done and should be commended.  But we just did not get out the vote as we did in 2010.

“Never Never Never Give Up”

We must never give up on trying to bring back fiscal sanity to DC.   As I stated before, even if Romney had won, we would need to keep his feet to the fire.

But it is time to decompress for a little bit.  I am thinking if doing a post that is more a less a expansion on Ken Gardner’s post on G+ over the weekend.  It may piss a few people off, or maybe no one will read it at all.  But it is something I hope will make people think.  We need to find a way to join the right and not alienate Conservatives from Libertarians and vice versa. We need to unite and not divide the right.   If we self destruct we will only be walking in the desert for many years to come

But now it is time to relax for a bit.
